Tom Holland confirmed his engagement to Zendaya during a recent panel discussion, politely correcting a reporter who referred to the actress as his girlfriend.
The exchange occurred after a reporter shared an anecdote about introducing his daughter to Holland’s “girlfriend.” The Uncharted actor promptly interjected to clarify her new title: “Fiancée.”
This public confirmation resolves widespread speculation that began at the 2025 Golden Globes, where Zendaya was seen wearing a prominent diamond ring. Shortly after, reports emerged that Holland had proposed over the Christmas holidays in an intimate and romantic setting at one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States.
However, wedding plans are not yet underway. In an interview with E! News, Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, explained that the couple is focused on their careers. “The process hasn’t even started yet,” Roach said. “Zendaya is working on so many movies. She’s now filming the next iteration of Dune… We have a lot of time.”
Holland and Zendaya first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, where they played on-screen love interests Peter Parker and MJ. After years of dating rumors, their relationship was publicly confirmed in July 2021 when they were photographed kissing in a car in Los Angeles. The couple has since maintained a private relationship, sharing only occasional glimpses of their romance with the public.
