Tourism trigger the rearrangement of the Playa Espíritu project, agreed by FONATUR before the President: Rocha

Mexico City, January 24, 2023.- Governor Rubén Rocha Moya attended a working meeting at Fonatur, which was led by the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and where the different projects that were It has this National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism in the states, being in the case of Sinaloa, the Playa Espíritu complex, in Escuinapa, of which it was agreed to reorganize it, in adherence to the tourism policy implemented by the Government of Mexico.

The state president explained upon leaving this meeting in an interview with the national media, that as far as Sinaloa is concerned, what was specifically addressed was related to the aforementioned Playa Espíritu project, which covers an area of ​​two thousand hectares, of virgin beaches .

“It is an ordering that we are going to do to the things that are property of Fonatur, for example, we have in Sinaloa two thousand hectares that correspond to Playa Espíritu, that is from Fonatur, so the idea is to rearrange it, agree on the Federation and been to reorder it,” he said.

Said rearrangement consists of developing it, with the option of putting it up for sale to private investors, so that the municipalities where these real estate are located benefit, which in this case, is Escuinapa, in the south of the state.

“That’s what we deal with; what we are going to do now is a calendar of meetings of each state with Fonatur so that each state with its particularity agrees on what we are going to do ”, she added.

He specified that no new property will be acquired, nor is it planned to expropriate new land.
