Tom Sullivan, Sky of Toyota Motors Mexico, reported that the Japanese automaker achieved its sales goal in a year of many challenges, and everything indicates that it will close 2021 above 80,000 units.
At a press conference for the end of the year, the manager announced that Toyota will start a new decade in the country, on turning 20 years in Mexico, a period where his greatest contribution has been the opening of the Mexican market to electrification.
Guillermo Díaz, Vice President of Operations at Toyota Motor Sales from Mexico, stated that 2021 was “a challenging year, especially due to the shortage in our supply chain; however, we are working to minimize the impact ”, by launching new products to the national market and returning to the mini SUVS segment.

In surpassing his goal of 2021, Díaz highlighted five Toyota models among the best sellers from January to November of this year: Hilux with 13,132 units; RAV4 with 10,666; Advances with 8,646; Yaris SD 8,068; and Corolla with 7,990 cars.
