A little boy has died in a tragic drowning incident on a rural property on Christmas Eve.
The school-aged child died after an incident on a property in Vernor near Fernvale, 60 kilometres west of Brisbane on Thursday afternoon.
He reportedly drowned in a dam at about 3.35pm, reported the Courier Mail.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but they were unable to revive the boy.

Only 24 hours earlier Queensland Health issued a reminder to remain vigilant amid fears of rising drowning figures.
The Queensland Children’s Hospital has seen seven fatal drownings in 2019 to date – three more than in 2018, and five more than 2017.
More than a third of childhood drowning incidents occur during from December – February in Queensland.
