President Donald Trump surpassed former US President Barack Obama for the first time in a new poll as the most admired man in America.
The Gallup Foundation said in a press release: “Trump surpassed his predecessor this year, after 12 years in which Obama won the title of the most admired man, tied with Dwight Eisenhower to get the title more frequently,” according to Sputnik.
Without any motive, many Americans were asked who is the most admired man from their point of view, 18% of respondents mentioned Trump, 15% chose Obama, 6% chose President-elect Joe Biden and 3% chose Dr. Anthony Fauci, the US health official.
“Gallup” revealed that Trump’s support among Republicans is still strong at 48%. Meanwhile, Democrats’ support for Obama decreased from 41% last year to 32% this year, as 13% chose Biden and 5% for Fauci.
While the independents were evenly divided between Trump and Obama by 11%, while 3% chose Biden and 2% chose Fauci.
The foundation indicated that the current president came at the top of the list 60 times out of 74 times the open poll was conducted since 1946.
As for the most admired woman, Michelle Obama again topped the list this year, selected by 10% of Americans, followed by Vice President-elect Kamala Harris at 6% and the current First Lady Melania Trump at 4%.
On the other hand, the outgoing US President Donald Trump directed his attack arrows this time to the Republican party to which he belongs, describing the party leaders as pathetic and do not want resistance and support him in the lawsuits he instituted against the outcome of the presidential elections.
Trump tweeted on his official Twitter account, saying, “Can you imagine if the Republicans stole a presidential election from the Democrats, all hell would explode … the republican leadership only wants the path of least resistance … Our leaders (not me, of course) are pathetic .. They are … They just know how to lose. “
