This comes as part of the amnesty and commutation decisions for about a hundred prisoners, issued by Trump on his last day in the White House, which will include a group of senior employees, rappers and others.
Stephen Bannon is a former aide to President Trump and previously served as a senior advisor to the president for strategic affairs. Trump was brought in by the National Security Council in January 2017, but he was removed from the council in April 2017, and charged with fraud.
It is unlikely that Trump would pardon himself, after White House advisers warned him, according to American media, about this, as self-pardon would make him appear guilty.
