The list of pardons will also include former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was serving a 28-year prison sentence on corruption charges.
Trump will also pardon Elliott Broidy, a prominent Republican fundraiser, who has been accused of an illegal lobbying campaign aimed at persuading the Trump administration to drop an investigation into the plunder of billions of dollars of a Malaysian state investment fund.
It was reported that the pardon bill, which has not yet been issued, includes an amnesty for Steve Bannon, a former Trump advisor, accused of fraud in a case related to the Border Wall Fund.
It is unlikely that Trump will pardon himself or his family, after White House advisers warned him, according to American media, about this, as the self-pardon would make him appear guilty.
