“I am so happy that Twitter is now in good hands and will no longer be run by lunatics and maniacs from the radical left who really hate our country,” Trump said on his Truth Social platform.
Trump did not clarify if he plans to return to the network, from which he was blocked after the assault by his supporters on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021.
In May, Musk, founder of Tesla y SpaceX, opened the door to a return of Trump to Twitter, from where the Republican magnate communicated with his 88 million followers. He did it through his @realDonaldTrump account, unleashing numerous controversies and debates.
Trump considered that his network Truth Social it works “better” than Twitter, which said it “needs to work hard to get rid of all the bots (automated ndlr programs) and fake accounts that have damaged it so much.”
“It will be much smaller, but better. I love Truth!” he added.
