At a stand in front of Parliament, dozens of Tunisians demonstrated to demand a vote in favor of passing the law criminalizing normalization with Israel.
Ghassan Ben Khalifa, a member of the Tunisian campaign to boycott and oppose normalization with Israel, said – during the protest – that they will be stationed in front of Parliament until this law is enacted as a victory for the Palestinian cause.
This is the second protest this week. Last Monday, dozens demonstrated in front of Parliament to protest the postponement of discussion of the draft law.
Last August, Tunisia announced that the Committee for Rights and Freedoms had begun studying a proposed law calling for the criminalization of normalization with Israel.
