Tunisian Health Minister Fawzi Mahdi announced that the National Authority to Combat Corona decided to extend the preventive measures until March 7.
Mahdi confirmed that positive signs of the epidemiological situation had been recorded, including a decrease in the rate of Corona infections and a reduction in the number of hospital patients.
He stated during a press conference that the number of hospitalized patients decreased to 1678 patients, compared to an average of 2310 patients during the past weeks.
He pointed out that the rate of infection decreased to about 20 percent of the total daily analyzes, compared to 30 percent during the past weeks, explaining that the number of patients on resuscitation beds decreased to 360 after 418 patients were recorded.
The preventive measures adopted by Tunisia since January 15, 2021, are partial quarantine, prevention of gatherings and demonstrations, and a ban on the Golan from eight in the evening until five in the morning.
And the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 51 new deaths from the Coronavirus, which brings the total number of deaths to 7,429.
It also announced that 828 new injuries were recorded during the last twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of injuries to 220,000 478 injuries.
