Tunisian Prime Minister Hicham Mechichi affirmed that the acts of looting, theft and attacks on private and public property are not related to the protest movements and the peaceful expressions guaranteed by the constitution.
He said during a meeting with the higher security leaders at the Ministry of Interior, “What happened has nothing to do with the protest movements and the peaceful expressions guaranteed by the constitution, which we understand and deal with through serious dialogue and research, in cooperation with our social partners, for solutions to meet the aspirations of the people.”
Meshishi denounced all calls for chaos propagated on social media to sow chaos and attack constitutional institutions, stressing that they should be confronted and confronted through the law.
The Prime Minister listened to a presentation on the current security situation and the preparations of the various security agencies in the various Tunisian soil, especially with the frequent incidents of sabotage and criminal operations that took place in several regions during the past days.
And Tunisia has been experiencing three days of night demonstrations, interspersed with riots and attacks on property, in which security forces used tear gas and arrested more than 600 people.
