Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu considered that “protecting the security and interests of his country passes through a strong foreign policy in the field and at the negotiating table.”
In his speech during an event held by the University of Cappadocia, Çavuşolu said: “Negotiations, dialogue and the principle of“ win-win ”have always been among the priorities of Turkish politics.
He referred to his country’s presence in the field alongside diplomacy and the negotiating table, adding: “This is what we have done recently in Syria, Libya and the eastern Mediterranean.”
He explained that the world is going through a radical transformation, stressing that his country has made efforts to adapt its foreign policy to this change by reading this stage well.
Çavuşolu pointed out that “the principles of Turkish foreign policy were not formulated according to the circumstances,” noting that “Ankara’s opposition to the coup attempts in Myanmar and Armenia is a perfect example of this.”
He added, “Unfortunately, our region is witnessing most of the conflicts. The protection of our security and our interests passes through a strong foreign policy in the field and at the table.”
