After the Turkish Constitutional Court recognized the illegality of naked inspection in prisons, two university students filed a lawsuit against the Oshaq prison administration and the Izmir police for being subjected to naked inspection in Ushaq police station.
The deputy of the HDP, Umar Faruk Jarjilioglu, said: “Today, two university students filed a criminal complaint against the governor of Usak and the Izmir police for searching them naked in Usak police station … the walls of fear are crumbling and the naked search is under trial! They did not shut up!”
Cırcırlu أوlu called on members of the Justice and Development Party and Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu, who denied these practices, to comment after the victims revealed that they had been subjected to a naked search.
The MPs of Justice and Development and Soylu accused Gergerlioglu of lying and trying to intimidate people, after he detonated the naked inspection of 30 Turkish university students in Ushaq prison.
The Turkish Constitutional Court did justice to the victims of the naked inspection in prisons, as it determined that this was a violation of rights.
The head of the Turkish Future Party, Ahmet Davutoglu, had called on President Recep Erdogan to hold accountable those responsible for the facts of the naked inspection, indicating that proving this crime is not difficult, but rather it is possible to examine prison surveillance cameras to verify the occurrence of these abuses.
