The spokesman for the Turkish Justice and Development Party, Omar Celik, considered that “the decision adopted by the General Assembly of the Belgian Parliament on the Azerbaijani Karabakh region is invalid and illegal.”
In a press conference after a meeting of the party leadership council headed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Celik indicated that “there are some countries in the Minsk group and outside that express dissatisfaction with Azerbaijan’s restoration of its lands, and that these countries are making threats against Baku, as if the latter entered the Karabakh region in a different way legitimacy”.
He added: “The Belgian Parliament condemned Azerbaijan and criticized Turkey, and our message to Belgium is clear. We do not recognize this condemnation and criticism.”
He considered that “the decision is a clear example of the Belgian parliament being an instrument of the Armenian unilateral speech.”
He stressed that “the indictment will not benefit Belgium’s relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan.”
