A second earthquake measuring 5.9 degrees on the “Richter” scale struck the state of Bejaia, north of Algeria, at dawn today, Thursday.
The jolt was felt by residents of the capital and residents of neighboring states, as well as neighboring countries such as Italy, Spain and Tunisia.
According to preliminary information, the earthquake caused damage to a number of buildings in the wilaya of Bejaia and pushed many residents to the street.
The state of Bejaia was also subjected to an earthquake, yesterday evening, Wednesday, with a magnitude of 4 degrees on the “Richter” scale.
