Russian space industry sources announced that preparations are underway to launch two batches of OneWeb satellites into Earth orbits.
For his part, the general manager of the Russian satellite company Glavkosmos, Dmitry Loskotov, said: “It is planned to launch a batch of OneWeb satellites at the end of this month, and to launch another batch a few weeks later.”
He added, “It is expected that a large number of OneWeb satellites will be launched this year. The schedule of launching these satellites using Russian Soyuz missiles will depend heavily on the foreign customer responsible for the launches.”
According to the available information, a batch of OneWeb satellites is supposed to be launched on March 25 from the Russian “Vostochny” space airport, at exactly 5:47 pm Moscow time, and a Russian-made Soyuz-2.1b missile will be used to deliver these satellites to Earth orbits.
