Two young men from the UK have been busted selling a ‘commercial quantity’ of drugs to undercover police to support their party-going lifestyles.
Samuel Edward Shenstone, 25, was charged with supplying the drugs – which included almost 800g of MDMA and more than 75g of Ketamine with a street value of $1.5million.
His co-accused Louis Joshua Smith, also 25 and from the UK, was an up-line supplier to Shenstone – whose sophisticated drug operation became the focus of a NSW Police task force established in September 2019.

The court heard Shenstone (pictured) arrived in Australia from the UK to see his father but fell into a party lifestyle
As Shenstone walked into the foyer of his Waterloo, Sydney, residence on December 3, 2019 holding a Coles plastic bag filled with 378.9g of MDMA, he was met by waiting police officers.
Court documents revealed the task force had amassed hundreds of phone call recordings, online messages and CCTV interactions between Shenstone and his associates and customers in the three months prior, reports the Daily Telegraph.
He had sold a total of 787.78g of MDMA and 75.73g of Ketamine to undercover officers in those months for which they had paid $52,000 in total.
He also admitted intending to supply a further 7.13g of MDMA and 20.8g of Ketamine to cops.
The drugs had an estimated street value of about $1.5million.
Shenstone’s supplier, Smith, had sold him 363.21g of MDMA and had agreed to supply a further 3.23g of MDMA and 14g of Ketamine.
Fronting Downing Centre District Court on Friday via videolink, both Shenstone and Smith pleaded guilty over the drug operation.
The court heard Shenstone had arrived in Australia to reconnect with his father, but when that was not well received he fell into the party scene.

Smith, who was in a more ‘elevated’ and ‘protected’ position, had been selling the illicit substances to pay back a drug debt.
Shenstone was sentenced to four years and nine months for supplying a large commercial quantity of MDMA and the ongoing supply of Ketamine, with parole possible after two years and six months.
Smith plead guilty to supplying a commercial quantity of MDMA and to the agreed supply of Ketamine and received three years and eight months in jail with parole possible after two years.
