Durham, N.C. — Prices could possibly be filed after an Uber passenger died in an early-morning crash alongside the Durham Freeway on Tuesday.
A North Carolina State Freeway Patrol trooper advised WRAL the crash concerned two automobiles heading north.
Gregory Allen Coley, 41, was rushing in a Mercedes Benz when he struck the again of an Uber car, inflicting it to hit a guardrail within the median. The Mercedes overturned, injuring Coley, who was taken to the hospital.
Daniel Joseph Watt, 26, who was sitting within the backseat of the Uber, was thrown from the Uber car and died on the scene. He was not sporting a seatbelt, based on officers.
