UFC 318 will take place Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, headlined by a highly anticipated trilogy fight.
In the main event, Dustin Poirier faces Max Holloway for a third time, with the symbolic ‘BMF’ title on the line. The bout carries significant weight for Poirier, who will be competing in his hometown in what could be his retirement fight. Poirier holds two previous victories over Holloway, first by submission at UFC 143 in 2012 and later by unanimous decision at UFC 236 in 2019. Holloway, the current ‘BMF’ champion, looks to avenge his prior losses. The ‘BMF’ belt, which stands for “Baddest Motherf*****”, is a symbolic honor created in 2019 to recognize the sport’s most exciting and respected fighters.
