The president of the UFC Mixed Martial Arts Organization, Dana White, announced that the Russian UFC champion of under 70kg, Habib Nurmagomedov, has officially retired and will not return to the battlefield.
White published, through his official account on the “Twitter” site, a picture of him accompanied by Habib, and commented on it, saying: “He (Habib) has officially retired 100 percent.”
Addressing Habib, he added, “It was amazing to watch you work (fight) … Thank you for everything, and enjoy everything that is coming, my friend.”
Habib, 32, announced his abrupt retirement after defeating American Justin Gaitji, on the 24th of October 2020, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, as part of the UFC 254 tournament, after he scored 29 victories without suffering any defeat.
But some reports, it was likely that Habib would change his decision to retire and return to the battlefield to fight his last 30 fight in his career, before White refuted all these rumors with his tweet.
