Dana White has labelled the prospect of Anderson Silva fighting under a different promotion as ‘disgusting’ after the MMA icon fought his final fight with the UFC last weekend.
The former middleweight champion, 45, was defeated by Uriah Hall in Las Vegas on Saturday to bring to an end an illustrious career with the UFC, in which he defended his title ten times.
Despite his ageing years, ‘Spider’ has left the door open to fighting again, though White has insisted that any future fight would not be with the UFC.

The UFC supremo fears the prospect of another promotion signing the 45-year-old, and slammed the notion as ‘disgusting’.
‘[It is] disgusting that a commission would let him fight again,’ he told reporters via TheMacLife.
‘He is a grown man, he can do whatever he wants. I like and I respect the guy and I just hope his family talks him out of it.’
Silva was defeated by TKO in the fourth round in Sin City, meaning he has won just one of his last nine fights.

But despite this, Silva has left the door open to fighting in the octagon again in the future
‘I made a big mistake,’ White said after the bout. ‘I shouldn’t have let him fight this fight.
‘But out of respect to him — he’s a legend of this sport, a legend of this company — I did something that I disagreed with.
‘I knew I was right and tonight proved I was right and Anderson Silva should never fight again. I’m not trying to prevent him from doing anything, he’s a grown man and he’s got one fight left with us.
UFC supremo White, however, says it would be ‘disgusting’ for the UFC icon to fight again
‘I’ll never let him fight here again, I want him to retire. And what I hope is, when he goes home, his family tells him the same thing. He’s almost 46 years old and no 46-year-old should be fighting. Period.’
Despite White’s concerns, Silva has said he is open to fighting again in the future.
‘It’s tough to say it’s my last or not,’ he said after his defeat. ‘This is my air. This is what I do for my entire life and with my heart.’
