The opposition Platform for Life, the largest opposition party in the Ukrainian Parliament, rejected the decision to impose sanctions on its leader, and said in a statement that the decision “is due to the desire of the dictatorial Zelensky regime to settle scores with opposition leaders and strike the most popular political force.” .
The party added that “there is no legal basis” for this decision, and pledged to complete the removal of Zelensky from power.
This comes after the Security and National Defense Council imposed sanctions on 3 TV channels affiliated with the opposition and their owner, Representative in Parliament of the “Opposition Platform for Life” Taras Kozak, who is close to Victor Medvedchuk.
On Tuesday, the opposition party began collecting signatures in favor of removing President Vladimir Zelensky from office.
