The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is getting ready to start its semester on January 31, attentive to the evolution of the pandemic that in recent days entered a fourth wave of Covid-19 infections in the country.
Through a bulletin spread on its social networks, the highest house of studies indicated that it will be on Monday, January 24, once the prevailing health situation at that time, when the UNAM informs its community about the additional measures that you will take and the modality in which classes will restart.
UNAM endorsed its conviction that returning to face-to-face activities “is a matter of the greatest importance”, so it is expected that these will be fully normalized in the semester to begin, but this as long as the evolution of the pandemic in our country allows it.
In the text, the UNAM indicated that based on the indicators of the epidemiological traffic light, among other factors, it determined that the activities that were already enabled in person will continue to be carried out under this modality, always respecting the authorized capacity and with the security measures established in its guidelines, such as the use of face mask.
At the same time, he exhorted the students and the academic and administrative staff that if they present symptoms of the Covid-19 disease Stay at home and follow the instructions of the authorities.
The National Autonomous University of Mexico indicated that it will continue to monitor the evolution of the indicators and the announcements of the health authorities regarding the pandemic in Mexico.
