Uncommon American crocodile is found a lot farther north than expected in Florida

A rarely witnessed American crocodile has been documented in Central Florida, and it counts as a single of the northernmost sightings ever noted.

The crocodile was noticed Sunday, Dec. 4, in Brevard County, about 75 miles southeast of Orlando.
