Unions expedite salary reviews prior to legitimizing collective bargaining agreements

Data from the Federal Labor Center indicate that between November 18 and December 31, 2022, there were a total of 108,953 procedures; of which, 67,076 had an agreement, above all salary; but in the cases in which a conciliation procedure was involved, there were 24,763 and 42,313 were ratified; “with which there is a 70.86% efficiency.

Considering the statistical data of the Labor Secretary; November and December had 111% more contractual salary reviews in the federal jurisdiction, compared to the same period in 2021.

Regarding the number of workers who have benefited, the figure is 140% higher than that which occurred in the same period of 2021; since 133,328 workers have achieved a salary increase.

According to the Secretary of Labor, Luisa María Mayor Lujánit has been verified that the union organizations that have already carried out the legitimization process have achieved salary improvements of 5.7% higher in comparison with those that have not carried out the mandatory process.

The “boom of salary reviews,” Domínguez Marrufo explained, is a tool for unions that seek, in this new labor model, “to get closer to workers and offer them better working conditions, especially when compared to other contracts in the same industry.” ”.
