United Airlines have offered to fly DeMar DeRozan’s daughter, Diar, down to Miami for Chicago’s playoff game against the Heat Friday night after her tactics helped the Bulls to a screaming comeback.
The nine-year-old became an overnight sensation following her antics during the Bulls’ play-in tournament game at her father’s old stomping ground, Scotiabank Center in Toronto, Wednesday night.
Diar repeatedly screamed every time a Raptors player stepped up to the free throw line in an attempt to put them off.
And it appeared to have worked as Toronto missed half of their free throws, going 18 of 36 from the charity stripe, as Chicago launched a comeback to win 109-105.
With the victory, the Bulls progressed to face the Heat in Miami Friday night in a win-and-in clash and United Airlines seemed determined to get Chicago’s secret weapon down to Florida.

The company, which sponsors the Bulls’ United Arena, took to Twitter to announce they had a seat saved for the youngster – if her dad allowed her to go.
‘The flight’s on us. What do you say, @DeMar_DeRozan? We’d love to take Diar’s talents to South Beach,’ the airline tweeted.
United had quote-tweeted the Bulls account’s post jokingly asking for her teacher to excuse Diar from school Friday.
Despite her success, DeRozan had insisted in his postgame press conference that Diar wouldn’t be making the trip down to Miami as she couldn’t miss more school.
‘Nah, she gotta go back to school. School [comes] first,’ DeRozan said.
However, he did admit he was glad he had allowed to attend the Toronto game after she begged him to let her go.

‘You know it’s crazy, my daughter called me the other day when she was getting out of school,’ DeRozan explained. ‘And she said “Dad, can I come to the Toronto game” I remember [her] coming to all the Toronto games when she was a kid.
‘I almost said no because she’s in school back at home. She kept asking, she was adamant about coming and supporting [us].
‘And I said “Alright you can miss one day of school and come to a game” and I’m glad I did. I owe her some money for sure.’
However, with United’s offer on the table, the six-time All-Star could have a change of heart.
