Meteorologists expect that the central European region of Russia will record record temperatures in the last week of this month.
According to the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, air masses coming from the Mediterranean and partly from the subtropics of the Atlantic Ocean will cause a rise in temperatures.
The center added that the transfer of heat from these areas will continue during the first half of the week, noting that these air masses are very warm, turning and coming to central European Russia with temperatures close to the maximum recorded throughout the observation period from 0 to + 4 degrees Celsius.
The center explained that such warm weather is a rare case, as the temperature will be 10 to 13 degrees Celsius higher than the normal range.
He pointed out that the temperature will rise in southern “European Russia” (European Russia is the western regions of Russia that are located inside the continent of Europe) – where the temperature will reach 10-14 degrees above zero.
In addition, residents of West Siberia and Sapphire on Wednesday expect a sharp increase in temperature. The center said that it will significantly exceed climatic standards, therefore, the temperature in the Novosibirsk region will reach 6, 10 degrees, and the same situation is observed in the Tomsk region, Altai and neighboring regions.
