UNDATED (WALA) – FOX10 News is continuing to keep track of closures and cancellations because of the upcoming weather.
CANCELED MONDAY: The Baldwin County Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee wishes to inform the community that, due to expected extremely cold weather conditions, the 38th Annual Memorial March has been canceled. However, all other programmed activities will proceed as planned.
CLOSED TUESDAY: U-M-S Wright, St. Paul’s Episcopal School, Cottage Hill Christian Academy, Escambia County, Florida schools, Pensacola Public Schools, City of Pensacola offices
CLOSED TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY: Escambia County, Alabama schools, Escambia Academy, Conecuh County Schools, Monroe County Schools, Clarke County Schools, Thomasville City Schools, Clarke Prep School, Jackson Academy
In a Facebook post from Mobile County Public Schools, Superintendent Chresal Threadgill said a final decision on closures will be made either late Sunday night or Monday morning.
Baldwin School Superintendent Eddie Tyler said he planned to update any weather impacts Monday or sooner.
Classes are out for both school systems Monday in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
