Urgent recall of Officeworks wireless charging pad that overheats so much it could burst into FLAMES and cause ‘serious injury or death’

A wireless charging pad is being urgently recalled over fears it could overheat and start a fire.
The Keji Wireless Charging Pad, which was sold at Australian Officeworks stores and online, has been found to have a defect.
Products bought from February 27 to December 14 last year may overheat when charging and are at a risk of starting a fire.

The product was sold at Australian Officeworks stores and online and is now being recalled
The electrical device may overheat when charging and risk starting a fire and has model number KW05BK
This could result damage to property, serious injury or death.
People can identify if they have the faulty charger if it has the product code COKW05BK and bar code 9332902021076.
The model number is KW05BK.
Consumers are being warned to return the wireless charger to Officeworks.
Product has the model no. KW05BK, product code COKW05BK and bar code 9332902021076
‘Consumers should immediately stop using the wireless charger and return it to Officeworks for a full refund.’
However, products sold from January 2021 with product code COKW05BKR and bar code 9332902024404 are not affected by the recall.
