The 12th-ranked Utah Utes will conclude their regular season home schedule this Saturday, hosting Kansas State for a 2 p.m. kickoff at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The game, which will be televised on ESPN2, will feature a pregame ceremony honoring the team’s senior class and celebrating the annual Mighty Utah Student Section (MUSS) Appreciation Day.
Pregame Events and Ceremonies
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 1:15 p.m. for pregame festivities, which include a performance by the University of Utah Marching Band and team introductions. The Senior Day ceremony will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. to recognize members of this year’s senior class.
Earlier in the day, fans can greet the team during “The Arrival” at 11:35 a.m. outside Gate L on 500 South. The event includes food, live music, and exclusive t-shirts for the first 75 fans.
Game Day Planning and Digital Tickets
For comprehensive planning, fans can use the official Utah 360 mobile app or the Gameday.utah.edu website. These resources provide access to tickets, parking information, stadium maps, and real-time updates.
All tickets and parking passes are digital and must be downloaded to a smartphone wallet before arriving at the stadium. This step is essential to expedite entry at both parking lots and stadium gates.
Parking and Transportation
Parking lots open five hours before kickoff, with tailgate and Signature lots opening at 6 a.m. Game day parking passes are available for purchase upon arrival at lots 27, 32, 39, and 46.
Game ticket holders can ride UTA buses, TRAX, and FrontRunner trains for free. Service includes a postgame bus from the stadium to the Court House TRAX station. Other transportation options include Spin scooters and a designated ride-share (Uber/Lyft) pickup and drop-off location on University Street between 250 and 400 South.
Stadium Entry and Security
Stadium gates open two hours prior to kickoff. The entry process has been streamlined for increased speed and safety. Fans will first scan their tickets using NFC-enabled technology before proceeding through security screening. A clear bag policy is strictly enforced, and express lanes are available at all main gates for fans without bags.
Stadium Experience and New Amenities
Rice-Eccles Stadium has introduced several enhancements for the season:
- Concessions: All concession stands are now cashless, accepting credit cards and mobile payments. Fans can order ahead for express pickup from any stand using the Utah 360 app, with new dedicated mobile-order-only stands at locations 15 and 32. A new grab-and-go stand near Gate D features AI-powered touchless checkout.
- Game Day Atmosphere: The “Red Thunder II” cannon has returned and is located in the northwest corner of the stadium. Additionally, every Utah touchdown will be celebrated with scoreboard pyrotechnics.
- Guest Services: Two new lactation pods have been added on the east and west concourses. Free public Wi-Fi is available via the “RiceEcclesWiFi” network.
- Water Bottle Policy: One factory-sealed water bottle (1 liter or less) is permitted per person. Empty personal bottles of the same size are also allowed and can be filled at stations throughout the stadium.

Utah Athletics promotes a safe and respectful environment through its “FanUP” initiative. Spectators are expected to welcome visiting teams and fans, promote a family-friendly atmosphere, and enjoy the game responsibly. Unsafe or inappropriate conduct will result in removal from the stadium. Fans can report behavior issues by texting “FANUP” to 69050.
