Dutch driver Max Verstappen scored the fastest time during the first free-test round of the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sakhir circuit on Friday at the start of the F1 World Championship season.
Verstappen was also the fastest performer during the pre-season tests held at the Sakhir circuit earlier this month, with many nominating the team for an outstanding performance this season.

Today Verstappen beat everyone else, scoring 1 minute 31.394 seconds.
Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas trailed 0.289 seconds behind Bottas in this round to finish second.
Bottas had won the opening race of the championship season in the past two years.
Britain’s Lando Norris, a McLaren driver, scored the third fastest time, while seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes finished fourth in the tour, 0.527 behind Verstappen.
