Monaco inflicted a sixth defeat at Paris Saint-Germain this season in the French League, by beating it 2-0, on Sunday, and became the first team to win the defending champions back and forth in nearly 10 years.
The match goals were scored by Sofiane Diop and Guillermo Maripan in minutes 6 and 51.
The guests repeated their victory over Paris in the 26th stage of the league, where they beat them 3-2 in the first round, thus raising Monaco to 52 points in fourth place, two points behind Saint Germain, and also entered the race for the local title by tightening the screws on Leader Lille and Lyon.
The emirate club maintained its record free of loss in its last 11 matches in the “League 1” (9 wins against two draws), which is the best continuous series in the league, and the best in the club’s history since the series that extended between December and April 2017 (17).
