The US central bank raised rates by 50 basis points on Wednesday, easing its stance after four consecutive 75 basis increases, although Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said the battle against inflation was still ongoing.
All sectors are negative performers, with communications stocks leading the decline. Within the Dow Jones, only one of 30 stocks operates in the green, Verizonwith 0.92%, while American Express leads the falls with 3.76 percent.
