Walmart Mexico is considering strategic alternatives for its operations in Central America, which could include potential joint ventures, partnerships, strategic alliances or other financial transactions.
The Mexican subsidiary of the American Walmart explained that the alternatives for its operations in El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua they will be focused on efforts and capital in their main businesses and geographies.
“We believe there may be attractive opportunities for further growth … that could be better captured under a different structure,” the company said.
