SStephen Curry gave the first recital of the season. The point guard felt the itch of the big nights for the first time and blew out the Clippers with 45 points and 8/13 on triples. The Warriors ended up taking the victory 115-113 with their star shining from start to finish.
The genius scored 25 points without failure (9/9) in the first quarter. The entire rival team stayed at 27. And in the last two minutes, Curry again threw the team on his shoulders to score eight more points and close his great night. He had two triples for the house and, with five seconds to go, he resolved with two free throws. “Steph Curry was just Steph Curry. There’s never been anyone like him. Those last two triples were ridiculous. I’m still impressed,” said coach Steve Kerr.
The Warriors, who had Andrew Wiggins (17 points) as the best squire of their icon, finished the first quarter with a 17 advantage (44-27), but lost in the second (22-40) and after the break the game ended. it stayed even until Curry decided it with his genius.
In the Clippers, who did not have Kawhi Leonard or Spaniard Serge Ibaka, the best was Paul George, who scored 29 points. Eric Bledsoe collaborated with 22 and the entire starting five exceeded ten but they were not enough weapons to be able to handle Curry’s hotties.
