You wanted to see Golden State against Brooklyn. The clashes between great powers from different conferences are always seen as possible previews of the Finals; all the more considering the enormous start to the campaign that the Californians have had. Well, there was a battle, but only for the first 24 minutes.
If anyone shone in the New York night, it was Stephen Curry. The Warriors point guard is playing at the MVP level; and against the Nets he was not far behind that definition. 37 points with 9 of 14 in triples, 7 rebounds and 5 assists was his performance. Steve Nass’s boys were unable to stop him. His basketball shone. Brooklyn had no choice. They even ended up chanting him MVP … away from home.
“It is clear that they are not the playoffs, but there is an intensity that you have to show to beat a team like this. You thrive in that competitive atmosphere, knowing that there is a lot of talent on the court, “he says of facing the Nets and his former teammate, Kevin Durant.
The Curry thing has been crazy for a long time, but that does not mean that we must not stop highlighting it. With last night’s there are already 37 meetings throughout his career in which he has scored at least nine triples. The second are James Harden and Damian Lillard with nine … Play in another league.
