The United States announced tightening sanctions against the organization of the “Egyptian arms movement” or “decisive”, and the inclusion of two of its leaders on the terrorist list.
The US State Department said in a statement on Thursday that it had included Yahya Al-Sayyid Ibrahim Musa and Alaa Ali Muhammad Al-Samahi on the terrorism list, as they were leaders of the “Hasm” organization.
It said it “tightened the penalties against the Egyptian arms movement, also known as a” decisive “organization, by classifying it as a” foreign terrorist organization “under Article 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Law.
She indicated that the organization had been on the “special global terrorism list” in the United States since January 2018.
She pointed out that these measures aim to deprive Hasm and its leadership of the resources to plan and carry out terrorist attacks.
