The foreign ministers of the United States, France, Germany, Britain and Italy condemned, in a joint statement, in the strongest terms, the missile attack on Erbil in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
In their statement, the ministers affirmed that their governments will support Iraq’s investigations to hold those responsible for the attack accountable.
The RT correspondent in Iraq, on Monday evening, reported that mortar shells fell in the vicinity of Erbil International Airport in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
He added that three mortar shells fell within the vicinity of Erbil airport, while the area witnessed heavy security deployment and cut off some roads in the surrounding area.
The spokesman for the International Coalition, Colonel Wayne Maruto, announced that targeting coalition forces in Erbil with indirect fire resulted in the killing of one civilian contractor and wounding 6 others, including an American soldier.
