The US envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking begins a tour that includes a number of Gulf countries, during which he will meet with senior officials in the region and the United Nations special envoy Martin Griffiths.
The visit, which comes amid a field escalation in the city of Marib, will focus, as announced by the State Department, on the United States’ approach to ending the conflict in Yemen, finding a permanent political solution and humanitarian relief.
