“From here and from Gaza strip We publish for you the latest developments in the country.” With these phrases and others, the boy Abdul Rahman Battah, or “Aboud” – as he calls himself on social media platforms – became famous among the people of Gaza.
Abboud is famous for his videos in which he documents the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip in a sarcastic manner, and in other clips he narrates the details of the daily lives of Gaza residents in a humorous manner and with a beautiful smile.
Abboud, with his beautiful local dialect and simple abilities, was transmitting from his “private studio” – as he calls it – the continuous Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, since Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood Launched by the Palestinian resistance led by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing Hamas movement On October 7th.
In other clips, this young journalist was documenting the devastation caused by the bombing on various areas of Gaza.
Abboud’s distinctive style of conveying the tragic events and conditions experienced by the people of Gaza attracted pioneers of social media platforms in the Arab world. The number of his followers on his page on the Instagram platform reached more than one million.
