Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal confirmed that he will undergo surgery after suffering a cruciate ligament injury during his team's 2-0 victory over Villarreal in the Spanish Football League yesterday, Saturday.
Carvajal (32 years old) left the field in stoppage time after a collision with Villarreal midfielder Jeremi Pino, which caused him to suffer an abnormal sprain in his right knee.
Carvajal's screams were heard in the “Santiago Bernabeu” despite the presence of tens of thousands of fans in the “Royal” stronghold, and tears were shed after the serious injury he suffered.
