Al Jazeera broadcast video clips of the efforts of ambulance and civil defense teams as they searched through the rubble for survivors, wounded or martyrs following an Israeli raid on a house in the Al-Bassa area in Deir Al-Balah in Gaza, which caused the death of 4 martyrs.
The video – prepared by journalist Ashraf Abu Amra for Al Jazeera – showed the cooperation of citizens with civil defense men in the search for those trapped under the rubble, and citizens also took care of transporting the wounded to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in their cars, due to the limited number of ambulances.
One of the women – who lives in the house next to the house that was targeted by the Israeli raid – said that they were surprised by this raid, especially since they had come to the Deir al-Balah area at the request of the occupation because it was a safe place. She confirmed that the bombing was violent “to the point that the bodies of 3 children were blown out of burnt pieces from a house.” Our neighbors and it fell in our house.” She went on to stress that there is no safe place in the Gaza Strip, and that children, women and civilians are the target of the Israeli occupation.
