A video clip showed a number of residents Gaza strip They are trying to remove the rubble with their hands, hoping to find survivors or searching for bodies from the Afana family, whose house was bombed by the occupation army.
One of the participants in the search for bodies and survivors in the Afaneh family home in the center of the Gaza Strip said that residents have been living in this situation for a month, adding, “It is forbidden for you. Children die every day. This is forbidden.”
He added to Al Jazeera that the Afana family’s home contained at least five families and that it collapsed on top of all of them, women, children, and men.
A group of young men appeared trying to cut iron skewers with primitive scissors in order to facilitate the process of lifting the concrete blocks piled up on top of the victims.
The witness said that they had exhumed the dismembered body of a woman and that they were unable to exhume the body of another man nearby. He added angrily, “Enough of you, Arabs. Enough of you. You are putting your money in America, and America is the one that buys weapons and sends bombs to drop on children.”
Another witness said that the explosion occurred suddenly, shattering the windows of the houses and filling them with dust, adding, “We found Afana’s house collapsed, and until now we do not know what their condition is (under the rubble).”
He stressed that citizens and civil defense cannot do anything, but they hope to reach them and pull them out from under the rubble.
