Words of praise are still heaped on French star Kylian Mbappe, after his brilliance in the match between Paris Saint-Germain and his host Barcelona in the middle of this week, as part of the first leg of the Champions League final.
The 22-year-old imposed himself as a star for that match, by scoring a historic hat-trick against Barcelona, with which he led the Parisian team to victory, 4-1.
Over the past few days, the global media celebrated the brilliance of the French star, and some social media leaders posted a video of Mbappe as he dodged Barcelona’s Argentine star, Lionel Messi, during their last match in the Champions League.
Mbappe appeared competing for the ball with Messi in the middle of the field, before the French star managed to dodge the “flea”, and then get rid of two other players, on his way to building a quick counterattack for St. Germain.
The video won the admiration of football fans, and some of them are betting that Mbappe will carry the torch of global football after the end of the Messi era, and his Portuguese rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, who took turns to be crowned the best player in the world in the last 13 years.
