Al Jazeera broadcast exclusive footage of the “Al-Farahin 2” ambush carried out by… Al-Qassam Brigades -The military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (agitation)- Against an infantry force of occupation soldiers in the Al-Farahin area, east of Khan Yunis, south of Gaza strip.
The video showed that the ambush dates back to Monday, August 5, when the invading force was targeted with a “Sejil” bomb, which led to the killing and wounding of all members of the invading force.
The footage also revealed that the ambush took place in a buffer zone established by the Israeli army east of Khan Yunis.
One of the elements said, addressing the occupation: “There is no safety for you in this area from which you displaced its people. It is forbidden to you. There is no safety for you from it or in it.”
One of the elements appeared preparing the explosive device, which he said was manufactured in the “Khan Yunis Brigade”, and then the process of monitoring the incursion of the occupation soldiers began before detonating it on four soldiers, who were evacuated to armored vehicles that arrived at the site.
The first ambush
The battalions had set up the first ambush in Al-Farahin on February 12, when they detonated a television bomb at the occupation soldiers and clashed with them at point-blank range, which led to the killing of the commander of the 630th Reserve Battalion, the deputy commander of a company, and a soldier, in addition to many wounded.
Since the start of the occupation army's large-scale ground operation in the Gaza Strip in late October, Qassam has broadcast footage of its fighters targeting occupation vehicles on various axes of the incursion, varying between hitting tanks with anti-tank shells, detonating others with explosive devices, and setting up successful ambushes.
The operations also included targeting Israeli infantry forces with anti-fortification shells, in addition to sniping and direct engagement operations, and raiding the headquarters of the occupation operations in various areas.
