The surprises continued in the African Cup of Nations football tournament held in Ivory Coast after the Angola national team imposed a 1-1 draw on its Algerian counterpart in the opening match of the fourth group.
Algeria took the lead with the first goal through Baghdad Bounedjah in the 18th minute, whose second goal was disallowed by the referee due to offside in the 24th minute when he hit a wonderful ball with a double back kick.

Some of the few Angolan attacks posed a relative threat to Algeria’s goal until substitute Mapulolo succeeded in scoring the equalizer for Angola from a penalty kick in the 68th minute.

The Algerian national team controlled a large part of the match, but was only able to score against goalkeeper Neblo once, despite numerous attempts on goal.
While the Angola national team took advantage of counterattacks to pose a threat to the advanced Algerian defense in search of strengthening the score, threatening goalkeeper Anthony Mandria with more than one dangerous opportunity.
The two teams shared the draw point, awaiting the outcome of the confrontation that will bring together Burkina Faso and Mauritania, which will be held tomorrow, Tuesday.
