He continued that the American president must “listen to both sides of the story, not just one side. It is the right of the Palestinian people, and it is my right as a father who suffers, and paid with the blood of his family, to talk about how I live.”
Al-Dahdouh said, “I paid a heavy price for the weapons that targeted the place where my family was and destroyed it, leveling it to the ground without warning, I think, my family and many other families, and this is a great injustice.”
Al-Dahdouh's statements came with the 100th day of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, where Israel killed at least 23,843 Palestinians and wounded more than 60,317 others.
Israel killed Al-Dahdouh’s wife, his 15-year-old son, his 7-year-old daughter, and his infant grandson, in an air strike in southern Gaza on October 25, 2023, despite Israel’s declaration before the attack that the area was safe, and then killed his eldest son, Hamza, along with his colleague Mustafa Thuraya. On January 7, his car was targeted in Gaza.
