Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Attracting talent is one of the most important recruitment methods that employers should pay attention to and work to improve. How successful are companies in attracting job seekers and encouraging them to apply for their jobs? What tools does it use to promote its culture to job seekers? What about the most important job features that attract professionals in the UAE?

A new survey titled “Attracting and Retaining Talents in the MENA Region” revealed that the 3 main factors that contribute to attracting employees in the UAE are salary and compensation (60% of respondents), long-term job security (55%), and work environment ( 48%). While the least important factors were the media presence (22%), and the company’s external appearance such as the logo and website design (20%).

In addition, 74% of UAE respondents stated that a company would be more attractive if it was characterized by ethics and followed good practices.

Attracting talent is one of the most important steps that companies must take and work to improve, and when participants in the UAE were asked about the efforts made by companies to market their culture to job seekers and encourage them to apply to it, 36% said that companies are making great efforts to achieve this, while 34 said % Of them said that they are making some efforts in this field, while 12% of the respondents considered that the efforts made in this area are few, while 3% said that companies do not make any effort in this field.

In the same context, respondents believe that online company pages targeting job seekers (30%) and social media sites (25%) are the most important means of promoting company culture. When the participants were asked about the type of information that excites them to apply for a job in a particular company, 64% of them chose the benefits and benefits the company offers, while 54% chose the opinions and observations of the employees, while 39% of the participants said that the company’s awards and achievements are the most important in this field .

The most important factors after getting a job

The survey showed that the most important job features that professionals in the UAE care about after getting a job are career development opportunities (according to 69% of respondents), followed by training and support opportunities (65%) and work quality (57%).

Likewise, respondents believe that training and development opportunities (43%) and job security (40%), followed by opportunities for long-term career advancement (34%), are the most important factors that enhance employee loyalty towards their companies besides salary.

A work culture that motivates employees and fosters organizational commitment is a key component of employee retention. It is interesting to note that 56% of respondents have worked for their current companies for more than two years. The survey also showed that about 6 out of 10 employees feel happy at their current workplace, and 63% of them recommend job seekers to apply to their current company.

On the other hand, 71% of respondents said that they would be willing to apply for the same job in the same current company if given the option to do so again.

Six out of 10 respondents said their company listened to employee feedback to better understand their needs, and 59% agreed that management takes their feedback seriously. In addition, 53% of respondents agreed that the company is making efforts to retain its working competencies.
