Two Israeli journalists claimed that a Brazilian Air Force plane landed at Algiers International Airport, Houari Boumediene, on Tuesday evening, coming on a direct flight for the first time in history from Israel to Algeria.
Journalist Daniel Salami, a specialist in Arab world affairs and working for the newspaper “Yediot Ahronot”, claimed that the plane landed at Algiers airport “minutes ago.”

Journalist Itay Blumentai, working for the same newspaper, had claimed in a previous tweet: “For the first time in history: a plane takes off for a direct flight from Israel to Algeria. The Brazilian Air Force plane (FAB2584) carrying high-ranking officials has landed at Ben Gurion Airport. International this week. “
According to the flihght radar data published by the two journalists, the plane changed course off the coast of Sicily, Italy, and veered south.
The two journalists published photos of the plane’s path to confirm their statements, and the plane in question appears as it leaves Tunisian airspace and enters Algerian airspace, without making it clear that it landed at the airport in the Algerian capital or not.
Given the type of aircraft (FAB2584), it needs to be refueled and is not eligible to travel the distance from the eastern Mediterranean to Gibraltar by direct line.
