A new wall of flames leapt from a drainage ditch jogging together the practice tracks in East Palestine, Ohio, on Feb. 3, separating firefighters Stephen Szekely and Jared Musial.
The two ended up operating by itself at one particular close of a 38-car teach derailment, making an attempt to quash flames on a manufacturing unit and prevent the flow of fiery chemical substances in advance of they moved any farther west, threatening the heart of East Palestine’s downtown.
All the other nearby firefighters were being on the other facet of the coach derailment, lower off from Szekely and Musial by an even larger firestorm that snaked down the tracks like a monstrous serpent ablaze.
